I had a bit of fun today making a card for our dear friends' little one's first birthday. This card is so me, I love pinks and browns, and anything pretty and girly. After this one, I had a little efficiency fit and made another eight baby cards.. I don't know why really, I don't know anyone who is having a baby, just because the stamps were cute and begging to be played with I suppose. I will share those with you in the coming days;)
I did a little heat embossing on the stamps to give them a little sparkle, it doesn't show up very well in the pics, but is really pretty.
How do you make cards? Do you make them just for fun or with a specific destination in mind? I have perhaps 100 or more handmade cards sitting in my craft room in cello bags... I am generally a "just becauser", then when I need a card, I tend to not be able to find one in my HUGE stash, and make one just for the occassion anyway... a little strange, but when the creativity is flowing, I just love creating for enjoyment.
Smiles :) enjoy your day wherever it takes you.
Kathy

This is beautiful! I have had to make myself go to my craft space since Christmas - I think making all those cards wiped me out, so challenges are good at the moment to get me going and keeping me motivated!! It's wonderful to have a stash - there's nothing worse than having to make the "perfect" emergency card!!
Beautiful card. The soft sponging really give it such a nice warm effect. Many of my cards are done for online "challenges" to give me practice or to try something new. I also make all of my greeting cards so many of them are done singly for one person(s).
Cute card Kathy!
This is soo cute! I do love the glitter embossing you did. I have a plethera of cards as well. I make most of my cards for blog challenges, then stash them in a box I use for holding my cards. There always seems to come the time when I have forgotten someone's birthday or something like that. I especially like to have Thank You cards on hand.
