♥ ♥ ♥

Warning... personal and somewhat lovey dovey post ahead...

Today is exactly 14 years since Dear Hubby and I had our very first date together. It was a fun time, I was 17, and he was an ancient 23... whoa, he seemed like such an older man at the time. We have a funny meeting story, me, being the McDonald's drive thru chicky, and Clint being the drive thru regular... "would you like fries with that?"... Um, no, but how about a wife instead...

Our first date was dinner at McDonald's.. haa haa... and off to see Jumanji at the cinema, it was a simple and lovely night and the start of many great times. He means so much to me, is the daddy to our two gorgeous little poppets, and was the man of my dreams.. and still retains that title 14 years later, so Happy First Date Anniversary to you Dear Clint.

How did you meet your special someone? Would love to hear some of your stories.

Bye for now.

Oh this is such a wonderful story...Congrats...
I met my husband 11 years ago...I was a barmaid and he was the one on the other side of the bar every weekend...He lived around the corner from me so I drove him home one night and the rest is history. We have been married for 6 years and he is also the man of my dreams and wonderful father to my little guy...Sooo happy....
Thanks for sharing and for giving me the opp to look back on this as well...Life is so busy sometimes you forget.

Cute love story Kathy! This fall will be the 15th anniversary of our first date--not really an official "date", more like our first "kiss". We met in our first year at University--lived in the same lounge area of our dorm and had many similar classes. At first I thought he'd be just a really great friend (to be honest, I thought he was out of my league--never dated such a hottie in high school). The friendship grew, and we've never looked back. We discovered early on that we share the same birthdate and that our parents share the same Wedding Anniversary (both 40 years this May) -- I think our union was fate!
