Does anyone else have an obsession with sweet little Bambi's and Mushrooms, or is it just me? Every time I set to work with this gorgeous Kokka fabric, I can't help but looking at the print and thinking how stinkin' cute it is. I was able to pinch a little time today to finish one of the bags from this post last week.
I made a few design changes this time around. I have made the Yo-Yo on a brooch pin, allowing you to take it on and off as you please, I think this will make washing the bag easier and allow you to make it look a little different should you want to change things up a bit;)

I have been wanting to use this lovely wooden button on something, and thought this would be the perfect backdrop for it. I bought it at the BrisStyle markets on Racecourse Rd last year from the lovely girls at Where'sBeckyBean, you can check out their blogs here and here. Their father makes these buttons from old floorboards, I love finding little treasures with a nice story and a little history behind them, and love it even more when it is something I can add to my creations.
The lining fabric is from Amy Butler's "Love" range, such a gorgeous colour, don't you think? It's almost a pity it's hidden on the inside, but imagine the delight each time you delve into the depths of your bag and see these pretty spots?
There's even a useful little pocket inside, perfect for a phone and some lip balm, what more could you want? I also lined the spotty fabric with some iron-on fleece, they are so comfy to carry on your shoulder for a day out with this lining.
I have opened up yet another Etsy store, SweetStitching, just for my fabric creations, I am a bit of a control freak, and I felt it was important to define the differences in the things I create and sell, paper (SweetSimplicitee) and fabric (SweetStitching). In time, I will close down the KreationsKathy Etsy store, it was created when all was new, and my crafty life was still evolving... a process that will never be complete, it's just all part of the ride! This funky little number is the first item I have listed in this new and exciting adventure into the crafty world.
It was so nice to get some time to be a little crafty today, and even better when there's a finished product in there! That's why I tend to create so many cards, I can start and finish the task in one sitting, walking away without the thoughts of the next step eating at my brain.
Thanks for checking in to see what I have been up to, enjoy your weekend, bye for now
